What’s Included?

• PicOS™ - Pica8's open switch operating system that utilizes standards-based Layer-2 / Layer-3 protocols with industry-leading OpenFlow 1.4 / Open-vSwitch (OVS) v2.0 integration, providing the building blocks for your transition to SDN.
• Ryu - Component-based, SDN controller developed by NTT Labs. Ryu provides software components with a well-defined API that makes it easy for developers to create new network management and control applications.
• Network Tap - OpenFlow 1.4 enables the external programming of network tap-like functionality into any OpenFlow-compliant switch. This SDN-driven capability reduces CapEx by dynamically adjusting the tap's characteristics to increase flexibility and avoid dedicated devices.
• Wireshark - The world's foremost network protocol analyzer. It lets you see what's happening on your network at a microscopic level. It is the de facto (and often de jure) standard across many industries and educational institutions.
